Global data platform

The Global data platform IBM Spectrum Fusion service is enabled at the time of installation for IBM Spectrum Fusion HCI. Ensure that the status shows Running in the Global data platform section. For IBM Spectrum Fusion, you must install it from the Services page.

About this task

Important:
  • This service enablement applies Machine Config Operator changes in OpenShift® and as a that result all nodes get rebooted.
  • For more information about deployments and their supported IBM Spectrum Fusion services, see IBM Spectrum Fusion Services support matrix.

Procedure

  1. Go to Services page in IBM Spectrum Fusion user interface.
  2. In the Global data platform section, click Install.
  3. In the Install Global data platform message box, click Install.
After you enable the Global data platform, you can view the service version and health status. From the ellipsis menu, you can download logs and view documentation. After you successfully collect the logs, a success notification gets displayed. The notification disappears automatically after some time.
In case of failures, go through the downloaded logs to understand the cause of the failure and fix the issue.
