Vector tile layers

IBM® Maximo® Spatial Asset Management supports vector tile layers. You can configure a vector tile map service for standard and public web maps that provides vector data to draw a map instead of sending pre-rendered map images.

You can customize vector tile layers when dynamically creating map tiles on the client side. Maps created by using vector data can be configured to be more dynamic, responsive, and interactive and can offer improved clarity at varying display resolutions.

The IBM Maximo Asset Management work centers use the map tool to display a map according to the map manager record that is defined for its default insert site. The web map layers that are configured as map services are shown in the order that is defined in the Map Services table. The remaining web map layers are shown on top of the last map service configured. The web map basemap layer is inserted after the basemap that is configured on the Map Service table.

To support vector tile layers, Maximo Spatial Asset Management requires ArcGIS 3.29. If you customized map tools in an earlier version, you must complete regression testing on those tools to ensure that they are compatible with the updated requirements. To remove artifacts from the previously supported version of ArcGIS, delete the /maximo/webclient/javascript/pluss/arcgis_js_api/library/custom/3.14/3.14 folder.
