IBM BAMOE now fully supports the IBM Db2 database, completing the set of key database technologies that are supported by BAMOE. This feature ensures continuity for IBM clients who have selected IBM Db2 as a strategic database choice. The new REST Service Call Task WorkItemHandler is delivered in the BAMOE WorkItemHandlers (WIHs) Library which provides out of the box solutions for common integration tasks. The new WorkItemHandler supports secured endpoints with OpenID Connect token acquisition, making integration with modern APIs easier and more secure. This enhancement also reduces the upgrade effort for v8 customers and simplifies connecting BAMOE workflows to external systems.

BAMOE container images now optionally support traffic directly over HTTPS using a TLS certificate and customer-provided keys. This enables end-to-end encryption between the user browser and the container on OpenShift through a Passthrough Route. It is now possible to publish Process and User Task events from a Business Service to any external read model, without changing the Workflow Engine. A single, stable EventPublisher interface, implemented by a custom handler, is able to receive committed Event batches from the Workflow Engine. This feature enables Business Services to offload data externally, for example, to an Elasticsearch index that powers a custom dashboard. The BAMOE distribution now includes the default Accelerators files as a downloadable archive. They were previously only available in a public Git repository on version specific branches.
