Enabling and disabling locales

Use the list of options on a locale to enable or disable it.

Before you begin

Before you enable or disable locales, enable System Admin Mode. Click Open Administration menu Administration menu > Enable System Admin Mode. When the dialog box is displayed, click Enable.

About this task

When you disable a locale, users with that locale see the default locale after they refresh their browser or after they log out and log in again.

If you want to disable a locale that is the default locale, select another locale as the default. For more information, see Setting a default locale.

Procedure

  1. Click Open Administration menu Administration menu > System Configuration > Locales.
  2. In the row of the locale you want to enable or disable, click Open list of options Open list of options button.
  3. Choose one of the following options:
    • Select Enable to enable a disabled locale.
    • Select Disable to disable an enabled locale.

What to do next

Disable System Admin Mode. Click Open Administration menu Administration menu > Disable System Admin Mode. When the dialog box is displayed, click Disable.
