Commenting on objects
You can add comments to objects if your administrator gave you permission and they set up OpenPages® to allow comments on objects. For example, you can add a comment on an Issue to ask a question, make an observation, or record your thoughts about the Issue.
From the Task or Admin tab for an object, click Comments to display the Comments panel.
When you add a comment on an object, you can mention other users who might be interested in it. An email with a link to and a preview of your comment is sent to all the users that you added to the comment.
You can edit or delete comments that you added. The text Edited is displayed on comments that have been edited by the author. The text Comment deleted by <username> is displayed on comments that have been deleted.
Adding your comments
You can add your comments to objects if your administrator gave you permission to.
Procedure
- Click and select the type of object that you want to comment on.
- Select the object that you want to comment on.
- On the Task or Admin tab, click
Comments
.
- Enter your comment in the text box.
- Optional: To send your comment in an email to another user, click Add user
and enter the username of the user, or select the username from the list of recently used names.
- Click Comment.

You can delete comments that you added to objects.
Procedure
- Click and select the type of object.
- Select the object that you want to delete the comment for.
- On the Task or Admin tab, click
Comments
.
- On the comment you want to edit, click
and select Delete to remove the comment.
