Use this list to determine your installation path for IBM OpenPages®.

If your source environment is at version 8.2.x or later

You can upgrade or migrate to 9.0.

With an upgrade, you install version 9.0 on top of your existing deployment. This method is sometimes called an in-place upgrade or an over-the-top upgrade.

Or, you can do a migration upgrade. With a migration upgrade, you do a fresh installation of 9.0 and then migrate files and data. Use this option, for example, if you want to use new hardware. If you want to do a migration upgrade, see the following topics to get started:

Fix packs

If your source environment is at 9.0, you can install 9.0 fix packs.

If your source environment is at version 8.1.x or earlier, you must first upgrade or migrate to 8.2 or later. You can then upgrade or migrate to 9.0.
