Patterns provide a repeatable configuration that can be
deployed to a cloud. The required parts are supplied with predefined IBM® Business Process Manager patterns.
Patterns, whether predefined or created, contain parts. Some parts
are required for the pattern to function when deployed to the cloud
as a virtual system.
The following predefined patterns are included in IBM BPM Advanced
and run on VMWare ESX hypervisors:
- IBM BPM Advanced Clustered Pattern 8.0
- Provides a high availability IBM BPM environment
of IBM Process Center and IBM BPM Process Server connected
to the Process Center. The Clustered Pattern instance provides remote
messaging, remote support, and web deployment environments on multiple
virtual machines. The Advanced Clustered Pattern typically serves
as a shared repository with a runtime environment for a team to develop
and run business process applications. Use this pattern to run the
applications for testing and staging purposes, supporting quality
of service and tuning requirements of the applications.
This pattern
contains the following parts:
- IBM HTTP server for process
center
- IBM HTTP server for process
server
- Process center custom nodes
- Process center database
- Process center deployment manager
- Process server custom nodes
- Process server database
- Process server deployment manager
- IBM BPM Advanced Clustered Process Center Pattern 8.0
- Provides a high availability IBM BPM environment
of IBM Process Center. The Process
Center instance provides remote messaging, remote support, and web
deployment environments on multiple virtual machines. This pattern
typically serves as a shared repository for a team, as well as a playback
server, supporting quality of service and tuning requirements of the
applications.
This pattern contains the following parts:
- IBM HTTP server for process
center
- Process center custom nodes
- Process center database
- Process center deployment manager
You can increase or decrease the number of nodes, depending on
the workload that you want to run. You can have multiple clusters,
for example an application cluster, messaging cluster, support cluster,
and web cluster. You might also want to include an extra custom node
to support the workload. You can add the custom node part to the pattern
or extend the running virtual system by extending the virtual system.
To extend the virtual system, copy the virtual machine and add the
copy to distribute the workload.
- IBM BPM Advanced Clustered Process Server Pattern 8.0
- Provides a high availability IBM BPM environment
of IBM Process Server. The Process
Server instance provides remote messaging, remote support and web
deployment environments on multiple virtual machines. This pattern
typically runs applications for testing, staging and production purposes,
supporting quality of service and tuning requirements of the applications.
This pattern contains the following parts:
- IBM HTTP server for process
server
- Process server database
- Process server deployment manager
- Process server custom nodes
