Enabling crash reporting on iOS

MobileFirst Quality Assurance automatically handles uncaught exceptions from your application and sends them to the IBM MobileFirst™ Quality Assurance server. When your app crashes, MobileFirst Quality Assurance records the relevant information, and then sends the data to the server the next time the app starts.

Procedure

What to do next

If you are deploying a build to the App Store, or you removed the symbols from your build, you must upload a special symbols file to MobileFirst Quality Assurance for the crash data to be readable. With this file, the application can symbolicate your crash information. Symbolication is the process by which MobileFirst Quality Assurance adds human readable symbol names back to the stack traces for builds whose symbols are removed. For more information about Symbolication, see Enabling human readable reports on iOS.
