IBM Business Process Manager Pattern requirements and contents

Understand the requirements for and contents of IBM® Business Process Manager Pattern packages on IBM PureApplication®.

IBM BPM Pattern V8.6.0 that runs on IBM PureApplication supports the platforms on AIX® and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server. For detailed information about the system requirements, including the supported operating systems, related software, hypervisors, and hardware requirements, go to Software Product Compatibility Reports and select IBM Business Process Manager Pattern V8.6.0.

Important: IBM BPM Pattern V8.6.0 uses the operating system from IBM PureApplication. Therefore, virtual machines and operating systems are no longer prerequisites.

To run IBM BPM Pattern V8.6.0 on IBM PureApplication Service and IBM PureApplication Software, you must have 64-bit Red Hat OS image 6.0 and IBM DB2® Pattern V1.2.1.0 or later.

If your IBM BPM Pattern does not have 64-bit Red Hat OS image 6.0, you can either prepare 64-bit Red Hat OS image 6.0 on your own or buy an 64-bit Red Hat OS image 6.0 of IBM PureApplication Service and IBM PureApplication Software. For information about purchasing 64-bit Red Hat OS image 6.0, contact your IBM sales representative.

If you do not have the required DB2 Pattern, download it from Passport Advantage® and import it into your PureApplication product.

IBM BPM pattern packages are approximately 7.1 GB and provide the following contents:
  • IBM BPM Installation Manager repository
  • IBM BPM V8.6.0 installation media
  • IBM BPM pattern type definition
  • IBM BPM pattern plug-ins

The operating system is not packaged with the IBM BPM pattern packages. Instead, PureApplication System and PureApplication Service provide the common base image of the operation system.
