Creating sample events for testing
You can create sample events from the events definitions in the selected monitor model. Sample events are created in the Add Values to Events section and added to the test script.

Procedure
- In the Add Values to Events section of the Integrated Test Client, select a monitoring context definition. The Monitoring context field lists all the monitoring contexts defined in the monitor model.
- Select the inbound event definition for which you want to create a sample event in the Event definition field.
- For any predefined data elements, enter values in the Values column of the Predefined data section under the Common Base Event data.
- For any context data elements, enter values in the Values column of the Property data elements section under the Common Base Event data.
- For any extended data elements, enter values in the Values column of the Extended data elements section under the Common Base Event data.
- For any XSD-defined event parts, enter values in the Values column of the Event part details section under the Event details. In the first table, click each event part to show its corresponding fields in the second table. Enter the values for each field in the second table.
- When you have finished adding values
to the sample event, add it to the test script by clicking Add
to Test Script
. - When you are prompted to give this sample event a name, accept the name of the event definition or change the name if you prefer, and click OK. This name is used only to label the event in the test script and is not part of the event content that will be sent when the script runs.
