Using KPI range templates

KPI range templates provide range definitions that you can use as an alternative to creating ranges manually. Using templates is a faster way of creating KPI ranges. You can edit KPI range templates and create new ranges.

Creating a KPI range template

  1. Open KPI properties and select the Range tab.
  2. Under the range definition, select Copy from template.
  3. From the KPI Range Template window, select a template option. From this window you can add, edit and delete templates.*
  4. To add a template, click Add.
  5. Enter a name for the range.
  6. In the Color column, click the color swatch to choose a color.
  7. To choose an icon to represent the range, in the Icon column, click in the cell and select an icon from the icon palette.
  8. Click Add row to add another row to the template.
  9. Click OK to save changes and return to the KPI range properties.

* Browser limitations could cause problems with backspacing and deleting in the text fields in this window.

Accessibility note: If you zoom in on the KPI properties window (for example, using CTRL + +) and the window becomes so large that the top and bottom window borders exceed the viewing area of the browser frame, the vertical scroll bar becomes unusable. To avoid this problem, change the browser setting to View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only before zooming in on the window.
