From IBM MQ Advanced version 9.4.1 onwards, you can use the prebuilt IBM MQ Advanced container image without the IBM MQ Operator
Support for IBM MQ licensed container images
From IBM MQ 9.4.1 onwards, you can use the prebuilt IBM MQ licensed container image without the IBM MQ Operator.
Support for building your own IBM MQ container images
The IBM MQ container sample provides unsupported sample wrapper code for enabling IBM MQ in a container. This is the most flexible container solution, but it requires you to have strong skills in configuring containers, and to own the resultant container.
Availability of the IBM MQ Advanced for Developers container image
The prebuilt IBM MQ Advanced for Developers image is available from IBM Container Registry: icr.io/ibm-messaging/mq. The image is a free download and is non-warranted. The image is not supported.
Version support for the IBM MQ Operator
A mapping between supported versions of IBM MQ, Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform, Kubernetes versions on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration.
Editing resources created by the IBM MQ Operator
The IBM MQ Operator reconciles a QueueManager custom resource by creating and managing native Kubernetes resources. These resources managed must not be edited directly.
