IBM MQ provides a Kubernetes Operator, which provides native integration with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. The v1beta1 API can be used to create and manage queue manager resources.
IBM MQ container license annotations
In Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments, the IBM License Service uses Pod annotations to track usage based on the limits defined on the container, rather than on the underlying machine. The IBM MQ Operator sets these Pod annotations for you, but when you deploy using other means, you must set them yourself.

IBM MQ Advanced container image
A prebuilt container image is available from the IBM Container Registry. You can use this image with either an IBM MQ Advanced or an IBM MQ license. From IBM MQ 9.4.2, you can also use this image with the IBM MQ Native HA and Cross-Region Replication Add-on for container deployments.
IBM MQ Advanced for Developers container image
A prebuilt container image is available for IBM MQ Advanced for Developers. This image is available from the IBM Container Registry. This image is suitable for use with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and other container environments.
IBM MQ MFT Agent for Developers container image
A prebuilt container image is available for IBM MQ MFT Agent for Developers. The image published on IBM Container Registry (irc.io) can be used with Podman, Docker, and OpenShift Container Platform environments.
IBM MQ CASE for air-gap install and upgrade on Red Hat OpenShift
When installing the IBM MQ Operator and IBM MQ queue managers into an air-gapped Red Hat OpenShift cluster, the IBM MQ CASE is used. The IBM MQ CASE contains details of all the images and metadata that make up a particular release of the IBM MQ CASE.
