Trigger monitors for z/OS

This topic contains information about trigger monitors provided on z/OS®.

IBM® MQ for z/OS provides the following trigger monitors:

CSQQTRMN for use in the IMS environment: You can set up an IMS batch-oriented program to monitor an IBM MQ initiation queue. For more information, see Setting up the IMS trigger monitor.
CKTI for use in the CICS® environment: In a CICS environment, you can set up an instance of CKTI to monitor an initiation queue and to retrieve the trigger messages from it as they arrive. For more information, see Task initiator or trigger monitor (CKTI).
