Deleting data file records

A system administrator can delete the records that are loaded from an account data file.

About this task

You can delete the records that are loaded from an account data file, excluding files that are uploaded through the AI Assist Files Processing page. Deleting records is processed as a background job. The file status transitions from Deletion in progress to Deleted after the job is complete. If any errors occur while records are being deleted, all deletions are rolled back and the file reverts to its original status.

Procedure

  1. As a system administrator, access the Delete Records action from any of the following pages:
    • For files that are uploaded through the user interface, click Manage > Upload Files. Then, in the Upload Files page, click Actions > Loading Logs.
    • For files that are loaded through other Data Flow Automation services, click Admin > Data Flow Automation > File Delivery Status. Then, in the File Delivery Status page, click Actions > Loading Logs.
    • For files that are loaded through a legacy data loading method, click Manage > Files Processed - Accounts & Setup.
  2. Select a file, and click Actions > Delete Records.
