You can open password-protected Microsoft
Excel files in IBM® Connections Docs.
Before you begin
Connections Docs supports opening
password-protected files but not individual password-protected sheets. If one sheet in a file is
password-protected, the file must be opened in Excel to remove the protection from the sheet. Once
the protection is removed, the file can be uploaded to Connections Docs for editing. To remove
protection from a password-protected file, do the following:
Procedure
- Upload the Excel file to My Files.
- Click the file name.
- Click Edit in Docs. Click Edit Online when the
Start editing online with Docs window opens. Then a window opens for you to
enter a password.
- Enter the password and click OK. The file opens in Connections Docs and is ready for you to
edit.
Note: Only .xls files are supported.
