IMS Connect z/OS commands
The IMS Connect z/OS® commands can be used and issued
through the z/OS (MVS™) interface. The z/OS modify interface enables you to direct
commands to IMS Connect using
only the IMS Connect jobname .
IMS Connect z/OS command syntax
IMS Connect supports the verb-resourcetype syntax. The verb-resourcetype syntax consists of a verb, a resource type, and zero or more keyword value pairs, with the values enclosed in parentheses.
IMS Connect DELETE CLIENT command
The IMS Connect DELETE CLIENT command deletes a client resource type.
IMS Connect DELETE LINK command
Use the z/OS MODIFY command DELETE LINK to stop communications on an MSC logical link that is assigned to an MSC physical link in IMS Connect.
IMS Connect DELETE SENDCLNT command
When IMS Connect is used for sending OTMA messages to a remote IMS system, use the DELETE SENDCLNT command on a local IMS Connect instance to terminate the send sockets on the connection to the remote IMS Connect instance. DELETE SENDCLNT is a z/OS MODIFY command that performs similar functions as the WTOR command STOPSCLN .
IMS Connect QUERY ALIAS command
Use the QUERY ALIAS command to display the requested IMS alias. The QUERY ALIAS command performs similar functions as the VIEWIA command.
IMS Connect QUERY DATASTORE command
Use the QUERY DATASTORE command to display the data store status.
IMS Connect QUERY IMSPLEX command
Use the QUERY IMSPLEX command to display the IMSplex status.
IMS Connect QUERY MEMBER command
This command is used to display the status of IMS Connect. QUERY MEMBER performs similar functions as the VIEWHWS command.
IMS Connect QUERY MSC command
Use the IMS Connect z/OS MODIFY command QUERY MSC to display the attributes and status of the MSC links that IMS Connect supports.
IMS Connect QUERY PORT command
Use the QUERY PORT command to display the current status of a requested port.
IMS Connect QUERY RMTIMSCON command
Use the IMS Connect z/OS MODIFY command QUERY RMTIMSCON in a local instance of IMS Connect to display information about all connections to a remote instance of IMS Connect.
IMS Connect QUERY UOR command
This command is used to display the current status of the request unit of recovery (UOR) identifier. QUERY UOR performs similar function as the VIEWUOR command.
IMS Connect SHUTDOWN MEMBER command
This command is used to shut down IMS Connect. SHUTDOWN MEMBER performs similar functions as the CLOSEHWS command.
IMS Connect UPDATE ALIAS command
Use the UPDATE ALIAS command to update the requested IMS alias. The UPDATE ALIAS command performs similar functions as the STARTIA and STOPIA commands.
IMS Connect UPDATE CONVERTER command
Use the UPDATE CONVERTER command to refresh one or more XML converters without restarting IMS Connect.
IMS Connect UPDATE DATASTORE command
The UPDATE DATASTORE command is used to update the requested data store. The UPDATE DATASTORE command performs similar functions as the OPENDS and STOPDS commands.
IMS Connect UPDATE IMSPLEX command
Use the UPDATE IMSPLEX command to stop or start communications between IMS Connect and the specified IMSplex.
IMS Connect UPDATE MEMBER command
The UPDATE MEMBER command is used to update the attributes of IMS Connect.
IMS Connect UPDATE MSC command
Use the UPDATE MSC command in a local IMS Connect instance to start or stop the communications on an MSC physical link that is defined to the IMS Connect instance. The command performs similar functions as the STARTMSC and STOPMSC commands.
IMS Connect UPDATE ODBM command
Use the UPDATE ODBM command to update the requested ODBM. The UPDATE ODBM command performs similar functions as the STARTOD and STOPOD commands.
IMS Connect UPDATE PORT command
This command is used to update the port that is used by IMS Connect. UPDATE PORT performs similar functions as the OPENPORT and STOPPORT commands.
IMS Connect UPDATE RACFUID command
Use the UPDATE RACFUID command to refresh one or more cached IDs stored in the IMS Connect RACF® user ID cache.
IMS Connect UPDATE RMTIMSCON command
Use the z/OS MODIFY command UPDATE RMTIMSCON in a local IMS Connect instance to start or stop the communications with a remote IMS Connect instance. The command performs similar functions as the WTOR commands STARTRMT and STOPRMT .
