Creating IBM Database Projects

With the IBM® Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio, you can create an IBM database project for managing a set of database object script files that can be run on an IBM database.

To create an IBM database project:

  1. From the File menu, select New, and then select Project.

    The New Project window opens.

  2. In the Project types tree, select the IBM Projects node.
  3. In the Templates box, select the IBM Database Project template.
  4. Specify a name and location for the IBM database project.
  5. Specify the solution information. The solution fields that are shown depend on whether a solution is currently open in the IDE.
  6. Click OK.

    The IBM Data Connection window opens.

  7. Select the name of the IBM data server on which to build the project, or click New Connection and define a new data connection in the Add Connection window.
  8. Click OK.
