Before you can run a query, you need to add a connection to your database. Whenever you
restart Db2
Graph, it loads
your existing connections and discovers any existing graph sets.
Before you begin
Attention:
With the release of Db2 11.5.9, Db2
Graph is
discontinued. You can still run Db2
Graph as a
standalone application with Db2 11.5.6 through
11.5.8.
The Db2 user connecting
to Db2
Graph requires certain permissions. For further information, see Required Db2 privileges for IBM Db2 Graph users.
Procedure
- Launch the Db2
Graph user
interface and enter the password provided by your Graph administrator.
- Click New connection to begin adding a connection. Fill in the
hostname, port, and credentials for the database. Use DEMO as the name of this
connection.
If your database connection requires
TLS encryption (formerly SSL), click the
Port is configured to accept SSL
connection check box and paste in the TLS certificate content, if
required.
- Click Add to create the new connection.
If Db2
Graph is unable
to connect to the database or create the model table, you are presented with an error message. You
need to address the reported issue before continuing.

You are now ready to add a graph model.
