Verifying successful migration to Db2 12
After you activate function level 500, you can run the sample applications to verify that your migration process was successful.
Before you begin
Attention:
When migrating from Db2 11, do not run the Db2 12 IVP jobs before activating new function as described in Activating Db2 12 new function at migration. That is, activate function level V12R1M500 or V12R1M501 before running the Db2 12 IVP jobs.
Before running the Db2 12 sample applications, activate function level 500 or higher, as described in Activating Db2 12 new function at migration.
Until you complete this task, continue to use sample applications such as DSNTIAUL, DSNTEP2, and DSNTEP4 from Db2 11.
Procedure
To verify successful migration to Db2 12:
Tailor and run jobs for the sample applications, as described in Verifying successful Db2 12 installation or migration with sample applications.
You can select the phases that you need to run based on the attachment facilities you
installed, the languages you use, and whether the sample objects exist.
