SEC DEF CREATOR field
The SEC DEF CREATOR field specifies the CURRENT SQLID value for creating and configuring Db2-supplied routines that are defined with the SECURITY DEFINER option.
| Acceptable values: | 1–8 characters, the first of which must be an alphabetic character |
|---|---|
| Default: | SYSADM |
| Update: | option 6 on panel DSNTIPB |
| DSNZPxxx: | none |
The value that you enter in the SEC DEF CREATOR field is assigned by the installation CLIST as the setting of the SECDEFID parameter for installation program DSNTRIN in job DSNTIJRT.
The SECDEFID parameter is used by the DSNTRIN program as the CURRENT SQLID setting when creating and configuring Db2-supplied routines that have the SECURITY DEFINER attribute. The default OWNER of any packages bound for the routines is specified in the INSTALL PKG OWNER field. If the INSTALL PKG OWNER field is not specified, the default OWNER is the value of the ROUTINES CREATOR field.
If you use the installation SYSOPR authority for Db2 installation or migration, set the SEC DEF
CREATOR field to SYSINSTL. You must also set the ROUTINES CREATOR and INSTALL SQL ID fields to
SYSINSTL and define SYSINSTL in RACF®.
