Installing Reporting Services
Install Reporting Services in Jazz™ for Service Management to start working with your reports. You can install Reporting Services by using different installation technologies and installation modes.

Note:
Some antivirus software can interfere with the Jazz for Service Management installation process. Before you install Jazz for Service Management, ensure that you disable the antivirus software and restart the target machine.

- Reporting Services dependencies
Reporting Services has dependencies on the following components:
- IBM® DB2® to manage the IBM Cognos® Content Store
- IBM WebSphere® Application Server, Jazz for Service Management extension for IBM WebSphere.
- Installation technologies
Jazz for Service Management provides different installation technologies to install Reporting Services and supporting middleware as follows:
- Launchpad–Use the launchpad custom workflow or launchpad panel to install Reporting Services and
supporting middleware. You can also use launchpad full installation
to install all Jazz for Service
Management integration
services and supporting middleware on a single server.Note: To run the launchpad, you must have a supported browser that is installed on the target machine. If you do not have a browser, run Installation Manager in GUI or silent mode.
- IBM Installation
Manager–
You can install Reporting Services using Installation
Manager,
which enables to create a new Cognos Content store as well use an
existing Cognos content store using IM panels. Note: To run in GUI mode on UNIX systems, Installation Manager requires a set of libraries for the operating system that is installed on the target machine.
- Launchpad–Use the launchpad custom workflow or launchpad panel to install Reporting Services and
supporting middleware. You can also use launchpad full installation
to install all Jazz for Service
Management integration
services and supporting middleware on a single server.
