Creating service tickets for existing problems

You can create a service ticket for an existing problem. This action assumes that the original problem was created before you configured the Call Home feature on Cloud Pak System and that no service ticket is assigned to the problem.

Before you begin

You must be assigned the Hardware administration role with permission to View all hardware resources (Read-only) to perform these steps.

About this task

The Problems page contains information about all Call Home events that occurred on the system. These events represent issues that require assistance from IBM Support. However, you can create a service ticket for a problem outside of the normal process.

Procedure

  1. In 2.3.3.1, click System > Problems (Problem determination > System > Problems).

  2. Locate the problem to which you want to add the service ticket and click the problem title to open the description.
  3. Click Add Service Ticket.
  4. Select Create Service Ticket from the displayed window.
  5. Click Submit to send the problem to IBM Support.
