Use available diagnostic tools to diagnose and solve problems when you troubleshoot the system.

Using the Diagnostic console
You can use the Diagnostic console to diagnose outage scenarios. In particular, the Diagnostic console can be used to determine hardware and component status when the Cloud Pak System database is not available.
Running system diagnostics
Diagnostics provide a way to examine the state and locate problems with the hardware and operating system environment.
Viewing and downloading log files
The system contains stored log data that you can view directly from the console, or you can download the information to your local file system and review it offline.
Monitoring system events
You can set filters, such as event type, severity, category, and time interval to refine the list of system events that are displayed.
Managing system problems
You can monitor existing system problems or create system problems for events that might require assistance from IBM® Support.
Managing trace settings
Add or modify workload and system trace settings to troubleshoot and resolve problems with the system.
Troubleshooting hypervisor images with console logs
When you create a new hypervisor image, or extend and capture an existing hypervisor image, you can specify which log files or folders to collect for troubleshooting.

Use the command-line interface to access problem determination and diagnostic information.
