EDIFACT general envelope properties

These are the properties that you enter to create sets of inbound and outbound EDIFACT envelopes.

Inbound envelopes: 1. General Properties

These are the General properties that you enter to create a set of inbound EDIFACT envelopes:
Name
Envelope name. Required.

Valid value: String

Direction

Direction of data flow. Required.

Valid values: Inbound (default), Outbound. Value to use in this context: Inbound

Tenant Id

An ID that is assigned to a tenant (customer or organization). In order for a tenant to access data, the tenant ID must match the tenant ID that is assigned to the data. This ensures that tenants access authorized data only. Required.

Valid values: DEFAULT (default), or select an available tenant.

Inbound envelopes: 2. Interchange properties

These are the Interchange properties that you enter to create a set of inbound EDIFACT envelopes:

(0007) Identification Code Qualifier (Sender)
Coded qualifier of the sender ID as it appears on the Interchange header segment sent to this company or division. Optional.

Valid values: * (asterisk) as wildcard, four standard characters

(0004) Sender ID
Interchange ID as it appears on the interchange header segment sent to this company or division. Required.

Valid value: Up to 36 standard characters

(0007) Identification Code Qualifier (Recipient)
Coded qualifier of the recipient ID as it appears on the interchange header segment that is received from this company or division. Optional.

Valid value: * (asterisk) as wildcard, four standard characters

(0010) Recipient ID
Interchange ID as it appears on the interchange header segment that is received from this company or division. Required.

Valid value: Up to 36 standard characters

Inbound envelopes: 3. Group properties

These are the Group properties that you enter to create a set of inbound EDIFACT envelopes:

(0007) Identification Code Qualifier
Coded qualifier of the interchange sender internal ID, as it appears on the Group header segment sent to this company or division. Optional.

Valid value: Four standard characters

(0040) Sender ID
Interchange ID as it should appear on the Group header sent to this company or division. Required.

Valid values: * (asterisk) as wildcard, up to 36 standard characters

(0007) Identification Code Qualifier
Coded qualifier of the interchange receiver internal ID, as it appears on the Group header segment sent to this company or division. Optional.

Valid value: Four standard characters

(0044) Recipient ID
Interchange ID as it should appear on the Group header received from this company or division. Required.

Valid values: * (asterisk) as wildcard, up to 36 standard characters

Inbound envelopes: 4. Message properties

These are the Message properties that you enter to create a set of inbound EDIFACT envelopes:

(0065) Message Type
Transaction message type as determined by the information type in the header of the message group which includes the message, or by the information type in the transaction message. Required.

Valid value: Six standard characters

(0052) Message Version Number
Version number of the standard message. Required.

Valid value: Three standard characters

(0054) Message Release Number
Release number of the standard message. Required.

Valid value: Three standard characters

Map name
The name of the map to use to modify inbound data. Optional.

Valid values: None (default) or select an available map from the list.

(0051) Controlling Agency, Coded
Agency controlling the code that represents the name of the sending EDI service provider and relaying the message group on the sending side. Required.

Valid value: Alphanumeric code with three standard characters

These are the General properties that you enter to create a set of outbound EDIFACT envelopes:
Name
Envelope name. Required.

Coded qualifier of the sender ID as it appears on the Interchange header segment sent to this company or division. Optional.

Valid values: * (asterisk) as wildcard, four standard characters

(0004) Sender ID
Interchange ID as it appears on the interchange header segment sent to this company or division. Required.

Valid value: Up to 36 standard characters

Coded qualifier of the recipient ID as it appears on the interchange header segment that is received from this company or division. Optional.

Envelope to apply after this envelope. Optional.

Default value: The corresponding Interchange level envelope.

Recipient ID (from group or interchange)
Group or interchange ID as it should appear on the transaction received from this company or division. Required.

Valid value: Up to 16 standard characters.

(0065) Message Type

Accepter Lookup Alias
Identifying string used with the sender ID and the receiver ID to look up this envelope with the encoder service. This alias associates a document with the service it requires. Required.

Valid value: A string of at least one standard character
