Configuring resource types

Configure the resource types for discovery. All the resource types from the installed technology packs are auto-populated on the Resource Type page. You can add new resource types and delete the existing ones.

About this task

All the existing resource types from the installed Technology Pack content are populated on the Resource Type page. You can also add new resource type names by using the content-manager script that is available in the /opt/IBM/basecamp/basecamp-inventory/bin.

Procedure

  1. Click Console Integrations (Console integrations icon) in the navigation bar and select Resource Type under System Configuration.

    You can see a table that contains all the Resource types that are available in the technology pack content in your environment.

  2. Click Console Integration icon (Console Integration icon) on the navigation bar and select Dashboards > System Configuration > SNMP > Resource Type.

  1. Click New (New button) icon and enter the following details:
    Name
    Name of the resource type to be discovered.
  2. Click Ok.
