Planning for IBM Case Foundation installation

IBM® Case Manager depends on IBM FileNet® P8 Platform for content and process management. You must install and configure a standard distributed IBM FileNet P8 Platform environment before you install IBM Case Manager. You must configure object stores on the Content Platform Engine and configure a workflow system to work with IBM Case Manager.

You must install IBM Case Foundation before you can install and use IBM Case Manager. Use the IBM FileNet P8 Platform installation documentation to install and configure the environment.

When you create IBM Case Manager users, create a master group to add to your case management object stores. This method makes is easy to add users to your case management environment after the object stores have been created.
