Creating a queue manager

You can quickly and easily create a new queue manager in IBM® MQ as a Service.

Before you can create a queue manager you must create a service instance and launch IBM MQ as a Service. See Getting started with IBM MQ as a Service for instructions on how to do this on IBM Cloud® and AWS.

Creating a queue manager

Start from the Queue managers tab. (For IBM Cloud, this is accessed from the Manage menu option within the service instance view.)

  3. Choose a display name that you can quickly identify your queue manager with.
  4. Choose the location where the queue manager will be deployed.
  5. Select the queue manager size.
  6. Click Create.

A record of your new queue manager appears with a status of Deploying.

The status of your new queue manager automatically refreshes every 30 seconds.
