Template management

When you see Template Management in the user interface, the term "Template" is used as a collective term for sections, profiles, templates, projects, clients, member firms, search syntaxes, and annotation colors.

Sections

A section is a functional area used to group data sources in Financial Crimes Insight for Entity Research, including Adverse Press, Verification, Prospecting, Sanctions, Narcotics, Litigation, Beneficial Owner, Background Details, and Political Exposure. You cannot create a new section, you can only modify an existing one.

Profiles

A profile is a collection of data sources that are invoked for a case. Each profile is mapped to a section.

Templates

A template is used to set a monitoring schedule. Each template has one or more associated profiles.

Projects

A project is a combination of a requesting member firm and a client. Even for a single deployment, a project with a self member firm and client needs to be created.

Clients

A client could include third-party banks that request KYC information from a bank. At least one self-client must be defined in the system.

Member firms

A member firm is a company that can request projects. For example, if HSBC buys the solution, then HSBC US, HSBC UK, HSBC India become member firms. At least one member firm must be defined in the system.

Search syntaxes

The Search Syntax table stores the search words that are used while invoking a search over Search Engines or News Aggregators. The search syntax is linked to sources and sections.

Annotation colors

An annotation color is the color highlighting for annotations that belong to a section category such as the Terrorism category for the Adverse Press section. You cannot create a new annotation color, you can only modify an existing one.
