Export a process

The goal of this exercise is to export a process in XML format that can be imported into Rational® Portfolio Manager.

Procedure

  1. Start the Export wizard by clicking File > Export.
  2. On the Export window, click IBM® Rational Portfolio Manager Project Template > Next.
  3. Make the following selections in the Select process panel:
    1. Select core.base_rup > Capability Patterns > Inception Iteration and click Next.
    2. Select Classic RUP (for large projects) from the Method configuration list.
    3. Do not check the Publish the process web site. If you check this, a Web site will be published along with the export. Click Next.
    4. Provide a file name and directory for the export and click Finish. An XML file is created which can be imported into Rational Portfolio Manager.
