Lesson 2: Importing a knowledge base

Follow the steps to complete the second lesson, in which you publish the knowledge base that you created in Module 1.

To create and analyze a knowledge base:
  1. In the console tree on the left pane, right-click Knowledge bases and select Add knowledge base, or select Knowledge bases and click This image shows the Add icon..
  2. In the Add Knowledge Base window, type Tutorial_KB as the name of the knowledge base.

  3. Select Import a knowledge base (KB file) > Import from the Management Console computer and browse to the knowledge base that you created in Module 1. The default path for knowledge base files is Classification_Home\Classification Workbench\Projects_Unicode\project_name\project_name.kb, where project_name is the name that was given to the knowledge base project. In this tutorial, the project name is Tutorial_KB.
  4. Select English in the Available languages list and click the > button.
  5. Click OK. The knowledge base is added to the list of available knowledge bases.
  6. You must start the knowledge base before you can use it for classification. Right-click Tutorial_KB and select Start knowledge base, or select Tutorial_KB and click This image shows the Start icon..
At this point, you have successfully published the knowledge base. It can now be used by IBM® Content Classification applications to classify content.
