Starting and stopping knowledge bases

You can use the Management Console to start and stop individual knowledge bases or all knowledge bases simultaneously.

About this task

Your ability to start and stop a knowledge base depends on the current status of the knowledge base:
Started
In this status, actions for starting the knowledge base are disabled. You can select actions to stop or restart the knowledge base.
Stopped
In this status, actions for stopping the knowledge base are disabled. You can select actions to start or restart the knowledge base.

Procedure

  1. Start, stop, or restart an individual knowledge base:
    1. In the console tree, click Knowledge bases.
    2. In the list view on the right, right-click the knowledge base that you want to administer and select the option to start, stop, or restart the knowledge base.
  2. Start, stop, or restart all knowledge bases:
    1. In the console tree, right-click Knowledge bases.
    2. Select the option to start, stop, or restart all knowledge bases.
