The patch command

Patches the installed version of DataView. Use only as directed by the instructions provided with each patch.

Location

<DASH_location>/products/tnpm/dataview/bin

Where <DASH_location> is the Dashboard Application Services Hub installation directory, by default /opt/IBM/JazzSM.

Required privileges

Adequate privileges are required to read and write files to the file system. You must run this command from the UNIX command line as the Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager UNIX user (by default, pvuser), or a user with similar or greater privileges.

Syntax

patch.sh -dashuser <DASH_username> -dashpassword <DASH_password>

Parameters

<DASH_username>: A Dashboard Application Services Hub user name for the local Dashboard Application Services Hub.
<DASH_password>: The Dashboard Application Services Hub user password for the local Dashboard Application Services Hub.

Example

Assuming a default installation, this command applies a patch for the existing installation:

patch.sh -dashuser <DASH_username> -dashpassword <DASH_password>
