Software prerequisites

Third-party software: The following third-party software products are required before you install a Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager system.

Note: Fix Pack4 Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager 1.4.4 Fix Pack4 Wireless component now supports Oracle database 19c and RHEL 8.x operating system.
Operating systems:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux® (RHEL) 7.x or 8.x
  • IBM® AIX® 7.1
  • Oracle Solaris 11
Database server:
  • Oracle database 19c with partitioning option.
Client:
  • Oracle database 4 with partitioning option. with partitioning option.
  • Oracle Instant Client 19c - Basic.
  • Oracle Instant Client 19c - SQL*Plus Extension package.
The Oracle client is required on each component that does not reside on the same computer as the database component.
Other required software:
  • JBoss application server 4.0.3 Service Pack 1
  • Perl 5.6.1
  • Jazz® for Service Management 1.1.3.0
  • IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3.0 Fix Pack 6

Software storage requirements: minimum disk storage that is required for each software component is shown in the following table.
