Verifying Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager component properties

You must verify the properties that are defined for each Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager component in the Logical View so that they match the values that exist in your current Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager environment.

To verify the Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager component properties:

Procedure

  1. In the Topology Editor, select a Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager component in the Physical View.
  2. In the Properties and Advanced Properties tabs, it is possible that some properties are marked with a red X (missing or incorrect value) or a yellow exclamation point (inherited value or is using a default value). You must specify or verify the values for any of the marked properties.
  3. Review any user credentials and passwords that are specified on the Advanced Properties tab for the current component. You must ensure that these values match those that are correct for your site.
  4. To specify or change the value of a property, select its Value field and enter the correct value. The property must match what exists in your current Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager environment.
  5. Repeat STEP 1 through STEP 5 for each Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager component in the Logical View.
