Discovery Formula Structure

A discovery formula has the following structure:

Dim Section
The Dim section declares types and default values for input values of the formula.
Def Section
The Def directives go at the top of the formula, immediately after the Dim statements.
OID Gathering Section
The OID gathering section explains how SNMP values are retrieved from a device, and how the results are stored in a temporary variable (vector).
Result Line Section
You can use the result line, with a custom INDEX format string, to define characteristics of a subelement to add to the database.
