Dashboard Application Services Hub configuration proceeds even though you provide a wrong password in the Topology Editor

When you try to update your topology to see the existing Dashboard Application Services Hub instances on your system, even if you provide a wrong password, the configuration does not stop.

Even if you provide a password that is different from the Dashboard Application Services Hub installation password, the configuration continues. You might see the following error:
Could not connect to specified server
