Encrypting the passwords

The installation proceeds to encrypt all stored Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager system passwords.

About this task

The installation prints an individual message for each file that is encrypted.

Procedure

At the prompt, enter yes to encode the system passwords.

Replacing all passwords with encoded passwords...

Passwords may also be stored in 
/appl/virtuo/admin/logs/pmw_install.log, 
so it should be removed when not needed anymore.
