Data set XML formats

The DataAccess data set consists of the XML format of the data sets returned in response to valid InfoQ requests.

DVQueryResponse
This is the root XML document node that allows the grouping of multiple DataView requests and responses. (The API does not support multiple DataView requests in a single HTML GET operation).
Query
This element node contains information on a single DataView query request.
Request
This element node contains information on the inputs specified by the user and used by DataView to generate the final ResultSet. This element node is optional and is only returned if the returnRequest query parameter is set to true.
Parameter
This element node contains the information for a specific input specified by the user.
Value
This element node contains one of possible multiple values for a user-supplied parameter.
Result
This element node contains the information on data that was retrieved as a result of running the request.
ColumnDescription
This element node contains the information that completely describes the final ResultSet column format. Each data set row conforms to the column description specified in this node.
Column
This element node contains the information for a column as described in the ResultSet. A COLUMN element node is specified for each column in the ResultSet.
Rows
This element node contains the Row element nodes that contain the actual data sets returned in the ResultSet.
Row
This element node contains the ResultSet column entry values. Each row in the ResultSet has a Row element node describing its column values as attributes. Each attribute of the Row has a name that matches the name of a COLUMN descriptor. The value of the attribute specifies the data set value for this column, row combination.
