Adding baseline threshold parameters
Procedure
- Click the Threshold tab.
- Click Apply Filter to view all thresholds in the database, or enter filter information to limit the number of results.
- Click a threshold name.
- Select Add from the Edit menu or right-click the threshold name and select Add from the menu. The Add Threshold dialog box opens.
- Click the Baseline Threshold tab.
- Select the Enable Threshold check box.
- Enter the following information for the new threshold:
Field Description Max # of days Specifies the maximum number of days used to calculate the baseline threshold.
Min # of days Specifies the minimum number of days used to calculate the baseline threshold.
Calculation Select the baseline calculation mode from either PreviousDays or PrevSameDayofWeek.
Sensitivity (upper) Enter the upper threshold limit (number of standard deviations above the baseline) that must be violated before generating an event.
Sensitivity (lower) Enter the lower threshold limit (number of standard deviations below the baseline) that must be violated before generating an event.
Permitted time outside baseline Enter the time limit (in minutes, hours, or days) that a threshold can be violated before generating an event.
Event generation Select whether to generate events for baseline threshold violations.
Mode Select a violation mode for the threshold from the following:- Under
- Violation if data value below threshold value.
- Over
- Violation is data value is over threshold value.
- band
- Violation if data is not between the values.
