Base counters for Microsoft Exchange
The base counters for Microsoft Exchange provide information about the folder objects.
When collecting statistical information, the collector outputs
one line for each store that is processed to the output file. If the
collection runs multiple times, additional lines are appended to the
output file. The different counts for a mailbox are separated by the
tab character (
\t). The header of the file describes
the collected values. In some cases, a counter might not contain a
number. If the value of a counter for a special folder is 0, the folder
exists, but contains no items. If the value of a counter for a special
folder is empty, the special folder does not exist. In addition
to the statistic values, the output contains information about:
- the collection time
- the server name (for mailboxes)
- the document store (for mailboxes)
- the email address (for mailboxes)
- the file location (for PST files)
Base statistic values
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| Documents submitted | The number of documents that were collected and submitted to the Task Routing Engine. |
| Documents on blacklist | The number of documents that were selected for collection but were not collected because they are on the Content Collector blacklist. |
| Items reported by store | The number of items in the store. The number
is read from the store property PR_CONTENT_COUNT. This number matches
the Total items field on the General tab
of the mailbox properties. It includes the items in all folders of
the store, not only the ones in the IPM subtree, but it does not include
any recoverable items. This counter is available only for mailboxes, not for PST files. |
| Deleted items reported by store | The number of deleted items in the store. The
number is read from the store property PR_DELECTED_MSG_COUNT. This counter is available only for mailboxes, not for PST files. |
| Folders in IPM subtree | The total number of folders in the IPM subtree. |
| Inaccessible folders | The number of folders in the IPM subtree that cannot be accessed by IBM® Content Collector, if the number can be determined. |
| Hidden folders | The number of hidden folders in the IPM subtree
for which the property PR_ATTR_HIDDEN is true. These folders are not
visible for users. Some examples for this kind of folder are:
|
| Items in recoverable items subtree | Number of items in the Recoverable items root folder and its subfolders (Deletions, Purges, and Versions). These folders were introduced with Microsoft Exchange 2010. |
| Items in all folders | The number of content items in the store, without deleted items. In most cases, this number is the same as the number for "Items reported by store". Mismatches indicate a problem with the mailbox that can usually be fixed by moving the mailbox to a different database or server. |
| Items in top level folder | Number of items in the root folder of the store. |
| Items in all folders not in IPM subtree | Number of items in folders that are not in the IPM subtree, but no deleted items. |
| Items in all folders in IPM subtree | Number of items in folders that are in the IPM subtree. These are the items that IBM Content Collector processes. |
| Inaccessible items | The number of items in folders that cannot be accessed by IBM Content Collector. |
| Items in hidden folders | The number of items in hidden folders. |
| Items in IPM root folder | The number of items in the root folder of the IPM subtree. |
| Items in special folder Folder | The number of items in a specific special folder. Folder can
be one of the following special folders:
The IBM Content Collector email collectors automatically exclude items in the Drafts, Outbox, and Sync Issues folder from processing. |
| Items in folder type Folder_type | The number of items in folders of a specific
folder type. Folder_type can be one of the following
folder types:
|
| Items in managed custom folders | The number of items in managed custom folders. |
