When enabling the SSL directive, the httpd.conf
file cannot be opened. This issue occurs when the IBM® HTTP Server is down or the nodes are not
started.
Symptom: An error message is displayed when you open the httpd.conf file
and the text area is empty.
Solution:- If the web server is created on a managed node, check whether
the node agent for this node is available or started.
- If the web server is created on a unmanaged node, check the credentials.
- In the administrator console, click .
- Click the <Web_server_name>. For example: webserver1.
- In the Additional Properties section on
the Configuration tab, click Remote
Web Server Management.
- Enter the IBM HTTP Server
administration server authentication user ID and password. For example: ihsadmin.
- Clear the Use SSL check box.
- Click OK.
- In the Messages box, click Save.
- Start the IBM HTTP Server.
