Adding a new server to the test environment
If a profile for the environment you want to use did not exist when you installed the Business Monitor development toolkit, you might need to add the test server for the environment manually.
About this task
The test server can run in one of the following environments:
- IBM® Process Server
- WebSphere® Application Server
If you have installed one of the environments on a different server, you can also add that other server to your test environment. You might also want to add additional test profiles during development.
Procedure
To add a server to the test environment, complete the following steps:
- Right-click in the background of the Servers view and select .
- In the New Server wizard, select the correct Business Monitor server type from the list and click Next. For example, if you are adding a new Process Server profile, select IBM Business Monitor Server v8.5 on IBM Process Server.
- On the WebSphere Server Runtime Environment page, type or browse to the path where WebSphere Application Server is installed. For example, if you installed WebSphere Application Server in the C:\WebSphere\AppServer directory, specify this path in the Installation directory field.
- If security is enabled, enter a user ID and password under Current® active authentication settings.
- When you are satisfied with the settings, click Finish.
