Getting started

Follow the links below to get started using the IBM® Business Monitor development toolkit.

About this task

To use the IBM Business Monitor development toolkit, follow the high-level steps below.
  1. Create a monitor model, using one of the following techniques:
    • Manually author a new monitor model.
    • In Integration Designer, generate a monitor model.

  2. When the monitor model is complete, test the monitor model and check the results in the Monitor dashboard space by following the instructions in Testing monitor models in the test environment.

  3. Send an event to the monitor model and step through the processing of the event using the monitor model debugger, following the instructions in Debugging monitor models.

  4. When you are satisfied with the monitor model, generate the file required for the production environment, following the instructions in Preparing a monitor model for a production environment.
