- Back up VMware virtual machine disks as large as 8 TB
- Use the vmskipmaxvirtualdisks option to specify how the backup operation processes VMware virtual machine disks (VMDKs) that exceed the maximum disk size.

- Protect VMware virtual volume datastores
- You can now back up and restore virtual machines that are hosted on VMware virtual volume (vVol) datastores.

- Restore Microsoft Exchange mailboxes when database files are moved or deleted
- Administrators can now run mailbox restore operations when application protection for Microsoft Exchange server is enabled for VM backup, and when changes occur after the backup is created. These mailbox restore operations do not require manual intervention and relate only to mailboxes whose database EDB and log file locations are changed after the VM backup is created.
