In version 5.2.0.6 or later, export asset measurement readings or details about data items such as assets and service
orders to a file.
About this task
From the list, export asset measurement readings or data items details to a file of semi-colon
separated values.
Procedure
- Use the Filter Panel to define the assets and data items to display in
the list.
- Optional: If more than one entry is selected in the Filter Panel, select a
filtered asset type or data source from the View data source list to change
the items that are displayed.
- Click Export.
- If one or more items are selected in the list, the Export Options
window opens and contains two buttons.
- Click Selected Data Items
(number) to export details of
the assets or data items that are selected in the list. For example, if three service orders are
selected in the list, click Selected Data
Items(3) to then save or open a file that contains the details for the service orders.
But, if one or more assets are selected in the list, the Export Options window opens with selection options
for you to define whether to export measurement readings or asset details for the selected
assets.
- Alternatively, click All Data Items to open the Export
Options window with selection options for you to define the data to export.
- Otherwise, if no items are selected in the list, the Export Options
window opens and displays selection options for you to define the data to export.
- Complete the following steps to define the data to export in the Export
Options window.
- Select the type of data to export in the Data type list.
- Select Data items to export details about assets or data items such as
work orders.
- Select Measurement readings to export measurement readings for
assets.
- Select one or more entries from the list of filtered asset types and data sources in the
Data list. If you selected Measurement readings in the Data
type list, select one or more asset types only in the Data list.
- Click Export. A window opens with options for you to save or open the file of exported
data.
