Evaluating and fixing analysis results

Open a results tab and drill down to the rule results. A rule result indicates that some type of exception to the rule was detected. You should evaluate each exception to determine what action, if any, to take.

Using severity levels to prioritize your evaluation
Rule authors assign severity levels to rules. You can use severity levels to prioritize which results to evaluate and fix first.
Applying quick fixes to rule results
A quick fix is an automated solution for a exception identified in the rule results.
Opening an editor to evaluate rule results
When evaluating rule results, open an editor by double-clicking a rule result to view the rule exception in the source file.
Ignoring rule results
Results that do not need to be fixed can be marked so that they are not listed in the results the next time the analysis configuration runs.
