Before your users can view emails with Lotus Notes® or
Lotus®
iNotes®
, and before they can
export Lotus Notes email, you must configure the
connection to the Lotus
Domino® server.
Prerequisites:
- The Lotus
Domino server is installed on the same system as the
eDiscovery Manager web client.
- The Lotus Notes password
manager is configured to bypass the password prompt in Lotus Notes.
Important: Your ability to
perform tasks depends on the roles that were assigned to you. Only
icons and menu options for tasks that are associated with your roles
are visible to you. Be aware that this topic might include information
that is not relevant to your roles.
To
configure Lotus Domino settings:
-
On the Administration page, click Lotus
Domino Settings in the Navigation pane.
-
Configure Lotus Notes and
Lotus
iNotes
viewing.
-
Enter the name of the Lotus
Domino server that the viewing database will reside on,
then click Test Connection to verify that eDiscovery Manager can connect to the server.
The viewing database temporarily stores email that users can view by using the Lotus Notes client.
-
Enter the IP address of the Lotus
Domino server.
-
Enter a mail database template for creating the viewing database, for example,
mail8.ntf. Optionally, precede the template name with a relative path, for
example, myTemplates/mail8.ntf.
-
Accept the default value of EDMMail.nsf or change the file name
for the viewing database, for example, EDMViewMail.nsf. Optionally, precede the
file name with a relative path, for example, myDirectory/EDMViewMail.nsf. Then
click Create Database.
The viewing database is created in the data directory on the Lotus
Domino server.
-
If you have
Lotus
iNotes
users:
- Select the Enable
Lotus
iNotes
viewing option.
- Enter the HTTP port on the Lotus
Domino server.
HTTP must be configured and running on the
Lotus
Domino server. HTTP is not started by default.
-
Configure default values for the Native export
format and optionally, any other export formats that export Lotus Notes email.
-
Enter the name or IP address of the Lotus Domino server
to which Lotus Notes email
will be exported, then click Test Connection to
verify that eDiscovery Manager can connect to the server.
-
Enter a mail database template for creating export databases,
for example, mail8.ntf. Optionally, precede
the template name with a relative path, for example, myTemplates/mail8.ntf.
The template must exist in the data directory
on the Lotus Domino server.
-
Click Apply.
Your changes are immediately visible to you. Your changes will
take effect for all new eDiscovery Manager web client
sessions and for all new tasks. Existing eDiscovery Manager sessions and currently running tasks will continue to operate under the configuration settings
that were in place when the users of those sessions logged into the eDiscovery Manager web client.
