Installing the desktop IBM Process Designer (deprecated)
The desktop IBM®
Process Designer runs only on Windows. If the desktop Process Designer was not installed when you installed
the Workflow Center, you can download and install
the desktop Process Designer from Workflow Center.
Using Installation Manager to install the desktop Process Designer is not supported.

What to do next
If you are accessing the Business Automation Workflow system from desktop Process Designer directly without an intermediary web
server, and you are using the default generated SSL certificates in Business Automation Workflow, you may receive the following security alerts
when opening Process Designer.
- The SSL certificate does not have revocation information, which may lead to warnings in some
versions of Internet Explorer. To resolve this issue, disable the certificate revocation in Internet Explorer:
- Go to .
- Click the Advanced tab.
- From the Security section, deselect Check for server certificate revocation.
- Restart Internet Explorer and desktop Process Designer.
- The signer certificate is not trusted by the browser. To resolve this issue, install the signer
certificate into your Windows trust store.Note: Make sure that you select the top-level signer certificate from the certification tree.
