Deploying the TeamViewer app to managed devices

Deploy the TeamViewer app from the MaaS360® App Catalog before you can initiate remote support sessions on managed devices.

IBM® MaaS360 uses the TeamViewer QuickSupport and the TeamViewer Host apps for attended and unattended access.

Follow the steps to silently deploy the TeamViewer app to managed devices.
  • Attended access
    • iOS devices
      Distribute the TeamViewer QuickSupport app with device-based VPP licenses from the IBM MaaS360 App Catalog with instant installation to supervised iOS devices.
    • Android devices
      Distribute the TeamViewer QuickSupport app from the IBM MaaS360 App Catalog with instant installation to supported Android devices.
      Note: This feature is also available to Android Enterprise devices. From Android version 15 and later, the Remote Control functionality through the Knox Service Plugin (KSP) and OEM Config must be distributed to the devices.     • Windows devices
      Download the TeamViewer app, upload the app as an enterprise app in silent installation mode, and then distribute the app to Windows devices. For more information, see Silently installing and pushing the TeamViewer app for Windows from MaaS360.
  • Unattended access
    • Android devices
      Distribute the TeamViewer Host app from the IBM MaaS360 App Catalog with instant installation to the supported Android devices.
